Its 26 inch x 30.5 inch cutting drum, efficient throwing system, and independent feed and discharge optimize torque for higher cutting force with lower fuel use.

Powered by a 134 HP diesel engine and built on a 10,000 lb. Torflex axle, this chipper packs serious strength into a mid-size frame. Proudly engineered, built, and tested in Michigan.

The VORTEX system separates chipping and throwing so each function uses horsepower and torque more efficiently.

A right-sized drum can focus on cutting force while the disc-shaped impeller uses leverage, inertia, and rim speed for throwing. This helps improve recovery time, fuel use, and overall performance.
Vortex No-Pocket Drum

Skinless No-Pocket Drum

The open-face drum does not need pockets to carry chips, improving flow, durability, and service access.

Chips immediately fall into the cone-shaped bellypan where they are moved toward the discharge fan. The open design allows better weld coverage and easier knife-holder access.
Reverse Pivot Feed System

The large single feed wheel climbs onto material and uses gravity and leverage to feed bulky brush.

The feed system helps compress limby material over a larger area, reducing trimming, repositioning, and cleanup time.

The progressively tapered chamber uses gravity and airflow to create an unrestricted pathway for chips, helping reduce plugging and blowback.

By separating chip cutting from chip throwing, the discharge impeller can accelerate chips with high velocity while the drum maintains cutting torque.
